Design Intern (Winter/Spring)

The Design Intern should exhibit skills in brand identity design, design for web, and design for print. You should have an eye for detail and pride yourself on the ability to communicate through visuals. You are driven, open to critique and improvement, and able to multi-task. Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop are required.

You will be assigned a mentor in the content department who will also be your direct supervisor throughout the program. After orientation, you will set goals for your experience, and are encouraged to get exposed to anything you want to within the agency. We expect you to be eager to learn and dedicated to working together to make this internship a positive and valuable experience!

This is a part-time internship opportunity requiring 16+ hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Work to perform all work-related tasks in a timely manner, organizing priorities and deliverables effectively.
  • Planning concepts and ideas for projects with graphic design deliverables associated.
  • Create artwork for approval purposes, following the direction of the supervisor and account executive, and output according to Cohere standards.
  • Demonstrate continued value in the advancement of Cohere’s brand, processes, and workplace.
  • At the guidance of supervisors, you will handle print vendor communication, preparing files for print and managing the print vendor relationships.
  • Intermediate design for web, basic HTML functionality including websites, newsletters, social media account profiles, and more.
  • Paying close attention to detail in order to minimize errors and client communication. • Follow all instructions, directions, and edits instructed by the immediate supervisor.

Marketing Intern (Baltimore - Winter/Spring)

The Marketing Intern should possess the skills to effectively assist the with project management, client communication, and strategy for our Baltimore location. They should be an energetic, self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit. They are highly interested in pursuing project or account management in a startup or creative environment. They pride themselves in having strong verbal and written communication, problem solving, and decision making skills. Experience in Microsoft Office applications is required.

You will be assigned a mentor in Baltimore who will also be your direct supervisor throughout the program. Responsibilities
  • Working to perform all work-related tasks in a timely manner, organizing priorities and deliverables effectively.
  • Assist our accounts team in managing projects, including tasks related to: brand discovery, brand strategy, rebranding, website design and development, andongoing marketing.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each client’s industry and business through discovery and research.
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information and industry news for Cohere and clients for strategic insight and deliverables.
  • Work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to identify solutions and opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Assist with the development of new business proposals and new client relationships.
  • Assisting in creation of written content including brand strategies, marketing strategies, and blog posts.

Digital Content Intern (Winter/Spring)

The ​​Digital ​Content Intern should exhibit skills in ​creating, researching, ​and reporting on visual and written content, including ​social media, ​digital advertising, email marketing, blogging, and photo and video direction.

  • Assisting in creation of written and visual content for social media accounts across multiple platforms and industries.
  • Conducting research to gather relevant information and industry news for Cohere and clients.
  • Create artwork for approval purposes, following the direction of the supervisor and account executive, and output according to Cohere standards.
  • Assisting with Cohere public relations efforts.
  • Assist with planning concepts and direction for photo and video shoots.
  • Potentially shoot and edit photos following the direction of the supervisor and account executive, and output according to Cohere standards.

The Copywriting Intern should exhibit skills in creative writing, editing, brainstorming, content creation, and enthusiasm for branding. You should exhibit great deal of attention to detail strong written and verbal communication skills.

You will be assigned a mentor in the copy department who will also be your direct supervisor throughout the program. After orientation, you will set goals for your experience, and are encouraged to get exposed to anything you want to within the agency. We expect you to be eager to learn and dedicated to working together to make this internship a positive and valuable experience!

Responsibilities

  • Create blog posts for Cohere and client accounts.
  • Assist in the development of creative messaging: taglines, missions, vision statements, brand personality, and more.
  • Actively contributing to the development of marketing plans, brand concepts, and other creative client needs.
  • Assisting with Cohere public relations efforts.
  • Assist in the creation of content for social media accounts across multiple platforms and industries.
  • Conduct research independently to learn about industry trends.
